How To Become A Super Affiliate In Less Than A Month

How would you like to make money online as an affiliate? Better yet, how would you like to turn yourself into a Super Affiliate and make money online even more that you could not stop your money from filling up your bank account every month?

There is no doubt there are many affiliate marketers on the Internet. Some are very successful and some just earn enough to pay their bills every month. In order to make money online selling affiliate product, you need to adjust your mind set and become a super affiliate.

Super affiliate like Ewen Chia and Russell Brunson is making million of dollars each and every year. They don't do things like normal affiliate marketer did. If you want to make money online the same way they did, you will have to think like them.

So here's how, if you want to recruit some affiliates for one product that you have just launched, you will have to motivate them. One way is to create some samples for your affiliates, so they have something to give to prospective customers. For instance, with a video product, take clips from the video; and for audio, do the same thing. For software, you may want to create a demo version. Allowing your affiliates to distribute this demo and sample products will increase their conversion rates.

Consider setting up a multi-level commission system as a means to recruit affiliates. You will be making more money online if you implement this method. For instance, if one affiliate recruits another affiliate who makes 10 sales, that first affiliate earns a percentage on all of those 10 sales. This will give other business and list owners with a following an incentive to participate, even if they can't directly sell your product.

If you're planning to coordinate a massive launch with affiliates, always plan to purchase professional graphic headers and e-covers, too. If your sales page does not look professional, you will immediately lose a lot of potential affiliates. Like you, they want to earn a decent return from their efforts; and they also want to associate with good products, not amateur ones. They want to make money online with someone who they can trust without cheating them.

Use ClickBank as your affiliate program administrator and coordinate a massive launch. This will have an exponentially positive effect. The more sales you close, the faster your product or service will rise to the top of the ClickBank charts. As your product gets higher, more affiliates will pick up your product, further increasing your profits.

If you contact someone and ask them to become an affiliate for you, always remember to give them a free copy of your product or service. Not only will this increase their likelihood of actually becoming your affiliate, but it will also make them considerably more effective as an affiliate, since they will actually understand what the product provides.

They are just no boundary to make money online as a super affiliate. All you need to do is to think outside the box a little bit. Copy every method that has been mentioned above which is proven can make you more money online.

A Buyers Guide to Film Scanners

Film scanners are made for the sole and express purpose of scanning film directly into your computer. Unlike their flatbed counterparts, which may be able to handle media of various sizes and thicknesses and can even scan film if a transparency adapter is installed, film scanners scan only one thing: film. But because the image to be scanned is taken directly from the original material - from the film, and not from a print - film scanners allow more direct control over image elements such as cropping and aspect ratio. In addition, film has more detail and dynamic range compared to prints - which invariably lose tonal range and color data during the printmaking process. These are real concerns to photographers and graphic artists, who rely on original slides and film - and film scanners - to ensure the integrity of scanned images in professional and commercial applications. So, if your work relies on scanning negatives, slides, and other types of film, a film scanner is the right choice for you. This buying guide tackles some of the more important things that you need to know when looking for a film scanner.

Style and Type Some flatbed scanners include either an external or built-in transparency adapter that is used to scan film. Other flatbeds are of a dual-bed design; i.e., with one bed - the glass flatbed part of the scanner -for scanning prints; and another bed - a transparency bay that looks like a pull-out drawer - for scanning film. If you intend to scan only the occasional slide or stray piece of film, and don't mind the lower resolution as well, a flatbed scanner that can accommodate film may well serve your purpose. Be aware, however, that the resulting film scans will not be suitable for commercial or professional use. To obtain the best results, nothing less than a dedicated film scanner will do.

Bit Depth

A scanner's bit depth determines the number of bits captured per pixel, which is related to the number of possible colors. The higher the bit depth is, the greater the number of colors that can be shown. Bit depth for film scanners on the market today can be 30-bits, 36-bits, 42-bits, or 48-bits. Always aim for higher bit depth when possible, as this allows the scanner to work with and retain a greater amount of color information. A 48-bit scanner, for instance, produces 65,536 levels or shades of color per R,G,B (red, green, blue) channel, resulting in a mind-blowing possible combination of about 250 trillion colors. In contrast, a 36-bit scanner produces 4,096 levels of information, or a paltry 68.7 billion colors.

Resolution

For scanners, the optical, or "true", resolution is what matters, as this is the actual number of pixels being read by the scanner's optics. Film scanners have much higher resolution figures compared to flatbeds, with optical resolution in film scanners ranging from 2700 dpi to 5400 dpi, and 4000 dpi being the most common. The high resolution in film scanners allows you to enlarge small images, creating enough pixels in the process to print in full-page size.

For instance, a full-frame 35mm color negative scanned at 2400 dpi will result in a size of about 3400 x 2200 pixels. If this 2400-dpi image is printed at 300 dpi, the resulting printed image will be 8 times larger than the original film size (2400/300=8). In actual terms, this means that your original 1.4 x 0.9-inch film (36 x 24 mm) can be increased by 8 times to 11.2 x 7.2 inches when printed at 300 dpi - without any loss of image clarity or detail. A word of caution: Because film scanners can scan in such high resolutions, file sizes can be big. Scanning the 35mm negative at 2400 dpi in the example just cited will result in a file size of 22 megabytes.

Film Formats

Most film scanners work with 35mm film. Some can scan APS film, but an optional APS adapter is needed to batch scan the full APS roll. Other film scanners, such as the Microtek ArtixScan 120tf, can scan medium format film as well, ranging from 6x6cm to 6x17cm panoramic. Check to see what types of film holders are provided with the film scanner; most models will include a 35mm slide holder as well as a 35mm filmstrip holder. A few models offer optional autofeeders that accommodate 50 mounted slides to allow efficient batch scanning of film.

Interface

The hardware interface of your film scanner will determine how long it takes to transfer digital data to a computer for processing. Together with the actual operational speed of the scanner, the hardware interface plays an important part in determining scan speed. Most older film scanners have SCSI ports; the newer film scanners feature FireWire or USB (Hi-Speed or USB 1.1) interfaces. Models with either USB or FireWire interface are hot swappable - which means the scanners can be plugged or unplugged from other devices to which they are connected without having to turn the scanners off and on.

Dynamic Range

The dynamic range of a scanner measures how well it can capture the tonal range of an image, ranging from the brightest highlights to the darkest shadows. Dynamic range is a more important spec in film scanners than it is for flatbeds, because film and other transparent media have a broader range of tones compared to photos or prints - something that film scanners are perfectly equipped to capture and show. Dynamic range is measured on a scale from 0.0 (perfect white) to 4.0 (perfect black), and the single number associated with a scanner indicates how much of that range it can tell apart. The minimum and maximum density values that can be captured by a scanner are called Dmin and Dmax, respectively. If a scanner's Dmin was 0.2 and its Dmax was 4.2, then its dynamic range would be 4.0. The dynamic range of film scanners are usually advertised by their manufacturers as falling somewhere between 4.0 and 4.6, but these are intrinsically difficult figures to prove or validate, and a model claiming a higher number may not necessarily have better results to show, mainly because of variances in testing and determining the figure. A more practical way of assessing would be to visually check how shadows and highlights are reproduced by the scanner and then compare the results to the original image or to how other scanners reproduce those same tonal colors.

Dust-and-Scratch Removal, Film Repair

Software provided with film scanners can be specialized and varied. Like flatbeds, film scanners will include their own driver or scanning software, as well as bundle an image-editing program - such as Adobe Photoshop - into which scanned images are delivered and placed. In addition, higher-end film scanners may include a color calibration and ICC profiler program, which ensures consistent color by creating a color profile specific to the film scanner. With the ICC profiler program, an image - known as an IT8 target and containing industry-standard color values - is scanned, and then compared to values that the scanner actually recorded. The differences are then translated into a compensation scheme to even out color variations, so that accurate color results can be produced in the future.

Dust and scratches on film can present a big challenge for film scanners, as imperfections can take on gigantic proportions when the film is scanned at the scanner's very high resolution. Film can also be damaged through improper handling, and what appears to the naked eye as a tiny scratch may render the image on a film practically useless. For this reason, a number of film-repair technologies have been developed to remove imperfections, allowing an image to be reconstructed and printed flawlessly, as though it came from a pristine original. These film-repair technologies may be implemented either through software alone, such as the dust-and-scratch removal feature from the SilverFast program by LaserSoft Imaging; or through a combination of hardware and software, as is the case with the DIGITAL ICE technology built-into some models.

Other technologies

Depending on the model, film scanners may incorporate proprietary technologies unique and exclusive to their manufacturer. Such technologies may include an auto-focus mechanism to ensure perfect image capture, a patented feeder mechanism, or specially designed holders for making film stay flat. These features may make a real difference in improving the quality of your scanning or streamlining your workflow.

Feng Shui Office

Feng shui (pronounced "fung schway") evolved from the observation that people are profoundly affected-for better or worse-by their surroundings. Feng shui (literally, "wind and water") is the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony with the surrounding environment.

Thats not exactly Black Magic, is it? Feng shui is neither superstition, philosophy, religion, nor New Age. It's practical and has been working effectively for about three thousand years. But don't take my word for it. Companies like AT&T, British Airways, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Logitech, Midland Bank, The Wall Street Journal, and Donald Trump have all applied feng shui to their businesses. When practiced correctly, feng shui is well known to improve wealth, business opportunities, health, relationships, career, and more. It can certainly improve your home office.

While the underlying theory is a bit complex, feng shui is basically straightforward and simple. A gigantic share of most webmasters' woes can be attributed directly to plain old clutter. Feng shui is the antidote to clutter plus a lot of other things that may be hindering your productivity (or impeding the auspicious flow of your chi-whichever way you want to look at it...).

Maybe your workspace is already ergonomically pretty good and a fairly efficient and pleasant place to work-but better would be to optimize it for maximum productivity. Everyone has gone into a building or office where he or she automatically felt comfortable and relaxed-or the opposite. Those impressions and underlying feelings are real, not imagination. There is an explanation for them in the principles of feng shui.

According to Suzy Spivey [2004] "you may improve your productivity and career prospects as well as enhance your success, creativity, and wealth. Specifically, you can use Feng Shui to determine where to set up your home office, the best placement of your desk, the use of color in your office, and incorporate 'cures' into your office to change the flow of blocked energy." The basic application to your home office is how you arrange it and where you sit to work. The following from Spivey and also Wong [2004] are recommended practices here (minus the theory or reasons why) but the tips remain sound and still work!

Create as many different ways to enter the front door as possible.

Paint or treat your porch and front door in colors that express success for you.

Put a bowl of water on the front porch. This draws or magnetizes people to your office.

Every morning prepare a chair for your client(s) to sit in. If you do this, they will come!

Have something to give your clients to take with them (promotional giveaways).

Sit in the corner farthest from the entrance; have a "command" position.

Business will symbolically come to you through the door, so don't turn your back on it.

Don't sit in line with the door, as you will be in the path of negative energy.

Don't sit looking straight out into a corridor, stairs, closets, storage, or toilets.

Keep your back toward a corner or a wall (like a mountain) for support.

Sit with a tall building or mountain behind you if your back is to a window.

Place an aquarium or tabletop fountain in the East, North, or Southeast.

Don't have any mirrors in your office, as they can reflect negative energy.

Treat your files with respect-they represent your past, present, and future business.

Keep equipment cords well hidden, eliminating clutter and allowing for the free flow of chi.

Keep the area around your phone clean and well organized. Clean your phone regularly.

Apart from general office arrangement, your desk and sitting arrangement are the next important things to consider:

Place your desk diagonally across from the doorway for a clear line of vision.

Position the desk with your back to a wall or corner for a sense of security.

Don't put the desk directly in line with the door, either facing it or with it to your side.

Don't put the desk flat up against a window so that you face directly out.

Don't put the desk so that your back is against a full wall of windows.

Position your desk facing into the room rather than facing a wall.

Don't place your desk in the center of the room-you will lose power and authority.

Do not have clutter in the office-it's important to keep desks tidy and clutter free.

Feng shui also has a lot to say about colors. Different colors can make a dramatic difference in your office, affecting the impression it gives and your own state of mind. For example, yellow stimulates clarity of thought, creativity, and mental activity - an excellent color for a home office. Yellow also promotes discipline, which anyone in a home office needs, while blue-green can be soothing, yet creative-a good choice for writers.

The classic auspicious colors in feng shui are red and purple-excellent choices for the front porch and/or door. Aim for a good balance of light and dark colors, soft and hard surfaces, and smooth and rough textures in your choice of window treatments, furniture, and flooring.

This has been a very superficial introduction to a very big topic but it should give you the basic idea of how feng shui can benefit your business. You can learn much more in the articles below and from the following Web sites:

There's Diamonds In Your Backyard! - Part 1

I came to understand the true meaning and value of a business relationship over 10 years ago after spending thousands of dollars in traditional advertisements with little return. This is not to say that traditional advertising is wrong I just didnt have the money to do it! I then realized that without the funds to do consistent traditional advertising that I had to develop business relationships that would provide referrals, as well as resources.

Once I started meeting with other business owners one-on-one I discovered that no advertisement or marketing plan in the world could beat the true value of developing a business relationship that involves trust, value and the willingness to share and refer.

How many times have you heard the saying, the diamonds are in your own backyard? You know its really true! After evaluating where my business came from in 2003, it was either through a referral or from a relationship that I had developed.

Yes, develop a good business relationship and just like the brilliance of a diamond, it will shine throughout your business in the form of referrals and profit. The true source of new business prospects and profit really is just a relationship away!

So, the big question is if this sounds simple and your business can grow from developing relationships, why isnt it being done more amongst micro and small business owners? The answer is simple its because they dont understand the true value and benefits of developing a business relationship.

When a small business owner first starts their business they are in what I call their dream stage. They have a tendency to mock what they think or see a successful business as being, but lack the true understanding of why it is being done. Therefore, most small business owners get business cards, create flyers or brochures and wait for the business to come - as though the mere existence of their business will have customers begging for their product or service. Unfortunately, thats just not true.

This same thinking pattern is also transferred into the networking scene. Business owners go to countless business meetings and events and throw their business cards around as though they were playing some high-powered poker game. Then they leave and wait for the business to come. However, they soon learn that it doesnt come and they blame it on the networking meeting instead of the fact that they didnt do anything to develop new relationships.

Part Two will cover the tips youll be able to put to use immediately to get your share of diamonds (business relationships.)

Tips For Data Recovery

Anytime your hard drive crashes or you lose your data, youll need to turn to data recovery to properly restore your information. Data recovery is something most computer users are familiar with, as a majority of us have had to turn to data recovery at some point in time. Even though hard drives are becoming better and better, they are still mechanical and will always encounter problems.

The first thing to do, before any problems happen, is to always back up your data. If you create backups of your information, youll be well prepared in the event of a disaster. This way, even if your hard drive cannot be repaired and the data is lost forever, youll have the back ups to continue going as normal. If you didnt make back ups, youll find the situation very traumatic when you discover that your data cannot be recovered.

Most hard drives will last for years before they start to encounter any type of malfunction or hardware problems. You can help prevent data loss by turning off your computer when it isnt in use, or shutting it down when you hear the hard drive making an odd noise. If the hard drive starts to malfunction, letting it continue to run will only do more damage. If you shut it off immediately and take it to a specialist, youll have a much better chance of getting it repaired.

With natural disasters, hackers, viruses, or other problems, you wont have the time to react. Before you know it, your hard drive will be damaged and your data will be gone. Although this can be very frustrating, data recovery can normally bring your information back. All you need to do is take the hard drive to a local specialist, then let them work their magic and show you the power of data recovery.

There are software programs out there that claim to recover lost data, although you should avoid them at all costs. Most of time, these software programs will do your hard drive more bad than good. Even though software may cost a lot less than professional data recovery services, the professional services will guarantee their work. If you turn to software and it only makes things worse - your more or less out of luck, as the software doesnt guarantee anything.

Anytime your hard drive fails and you seem to have lost your data, you should turn to professional data recovery services immediately. They may cost you a lot of money, although they do the job right the first time. When it comes to your data, you really dont want to take any chances - especially if you had important documents and files stored on your hard drive.

Overcoming Fear & Incongruency Around Beautiful Women

Is there a way to overcome your fear and incongruencies around beautiful women without 'acting'?

Yes.

After all, did you know that this is the biggest step you will have to take on the way to getting anywhere with a new woman?

How is that so? Because there is an initial power game that exists between a man and a woman. And almost all men FAIL this initial power test or 'pre-game'. That includes nice guys and even great catches too. It's unfortunate but a beautiful woman expects and respects someone who is not afraid of her.

She wants a man to be a man. She expects him to be comfortable in his own skin AROUND HER (no matter how powerful she is or how much society edifies her).

There are so many men who keep getting rejected because the women are now representing a lot more social power than ever before and they just can't find ANY possible way to justify or fix it within themselves because she ACTUALLY IS the social prize and IS very beautiful.

These sexy, beautiful and desired women..

They are used to being the 'stimulus' for men to 'respond' to and 'drool over'. If you approach a woman and your physiology represents that (in your relationship with her) she is the stimulus or 'prize' (like society conditions) and you are the response trying to 'get some' of that, you're going to fail 9/10 times.

Despite the great irony of it all 'pursuing' a woman and showing great interest and attention doesn't work. It's happened to them literally a million times each.

They actually DON'T want to be on a pedestal in the relationship (despite their logical inner and social conditioning). Emotionally they HAVE TO BE attracted to you as a man.

That means, as the man you have to be the one SHE is interested in.

Society teaches you to edify her above your own interests (like they need even more edification). What women respect is men who aren't afraid to be themselves. They respect men who will not change their behavior to act differently around women.

That's why women fall for the bad boys and jerks. These are the guys who DIDN'T LISTEN to social programming. They were closer to the natural mating game and roots so that they could experience success with women consistently.

The only thing that has gotten in the way of millions of men's success with women is their social conditioning FOLLOWED BY their own inner beliefs based on the social conditioning.

To resolve this great dilemma, each man should understand the truth about social influence and what it means so that he can regain his true independence, power and character to be what women want.

When he understands the root behavioral characteristics that women represent, he will finally be comfortable in his own skin and instead of being intimidated by these leveraged powers, he'll be able to see the true woman inside of her.

And that includes the most beautiful women in the world for the time that she can bring out her natural character before she snaps back into her habitual social stimulus behavior or super-woman self.

You've made the decision to breed your horse.

So, now what? Do you follow the old adage and "breed the best to the best and hope for the best?"

Well, while that advice is actually tried-and-true, and certainly not the worst advice in the world, you are going to have to take a few extra steps to make sure the resulting foal is everything you hope it will be. Because the foal will be a blend of both the sire's and the dam's genetics, there are a few things to consider when choosing a good mate for your horse.

* Consider the goal of breeding your horse. In other words, what kind of horse are you breeding for? Do you want to produce a horse for dressage, hunting, cutting, reining, endurance, driving, or one of the other many disciplines? Knowing what kind of horse you want to produce will help you narrow the field as you consider mates for your horse.

* Look at your horse's conformation. No horse is perfect! Take a good look at your horse, and make notes about his good points, as well as what needs improving. Now do the same to the mates you are considering. Eliminate any horse who have weak points in common with your horse, and lean toward those who correct your horse where he is weak.

* Consider the temperament of potential mates. A horse who is easy to work with is just as valuable as a horse with perfect conformation. Because disposition may be genetic, be sure to evaluate the mate's personality. What kind of temperament are you looking for in the foal? Is the mate nervous or confident? Timid or bold? Calm or jumpy?

* Look at prior progeny. If the mate has other offspring, take a good look at them. Did the mate pass along its good traits to its progeny? Did any congenital defects crop up? You can investigate ancestry even further by contacting breeders with the same line. Did the dam, sire, and siblings of the mate you are considering produce successful individuals?

* Investigate the health of the mate. Is the mare or stallion in good health? Look for the normal things, like bright eyes, a shiny coat, and an alert expression. If the animal is under or overweight consider carefully, especially if it is a mare. Mares who are not in good body weight can sometimes have difficulty getting in foal. Make sure the horse is sound and moves correctly. Be wary of horses with injuries, as certain weaknesses can be passed to offspring. You should also make sure the horse has received good veterinary care, including regular deworming and current vaccinations.

* Do a breeding exam. A mare should always undergo a breeding exam before you commit. Maiden mares will need rectal and vaginal exams, while proven mares may need more extensive examinations.

* When you think you've decided, think again! That's right. Before you sign any papers or contracts, make sure you know what breeding entails, including the costs involved. And always, always make sure you have a valid reason for breeding your horse. It is not something to be done lightly! In the end, if you've determined that your horse can contribute the betterment of the breed, you well understand what financial and health risks you'll be up against, and you've found a good mate, go for it!

How To Initiate A Distance Education Course: A 9 Point Mini-Guide

How to initiate a distance education course? That's the question you may be asking yourself if you've come to the conclusion it would be a good idea to get qualifications in a particular area, or maybe just increase your knowledge of the subject, but you've no idea how to get started.

Here are nine general points to cover:

1. Have a think about what it is you want to achieve, and make a list. It's okay if it only consists of a single line, such as Learn to make French sauces.

The reason for doing this is to avoid picking a course you don't really need. For example, you might want knowledge on how to sell your house without the help of a realtor. It's unlikely you need a full real estate learning program. But you might want a course that covers how to improve the curb appeal of your house as well as the legalities you need to cover. And it's likely that you'll need something that tackles any local laws that apply, or at least refers you to a place you can find the information you need. The answer to questions like these will determine the course you need to look for.

2. Research the program you need to follow. Where to look for your distance education course? Online is an obvious contender. Or try magazines devoted to the subject you're interested in. Such courses will appear in the classified advertisement section, or, if they're really popular, somewhere among the editorial. They'll usually be smallish box ads (though not necessarily: Linguaphone have been known to take out much larger display adverts)

3. Decide whether accredited distance learning programs are what you should be considering. Accreditation will have greater or lesser importance depending on what you're aiming to achieve. If so, make sure that the accrediting body has good standing. It may be worth doing a little digging on the internet to establish this

4. Consider how you'll plan and manage an e-learning program or correspondence course. You will be making a commitment of time and money, and on top of that, you'll be putting in some work. If you're following an e-learning program, will you have access to a computer when you need it? These things will need some thought on your part.

5. Consider how will you pay? Single modules can eem expensive enough, but if you're embarking on a degree course, the cost will represent a considerable investment. You may have to arrange a loan, perhaps via your bank, or, depending on your status, a student loan.

6. Arrange the time. In reality, unless you live alone, that means negotiating with family members, rescheduling parts of your life, making resolutions to get up early or stay up after everyone else has gone to bed so you can study.

7. It will definitely be a good idea to approach your boss if your course is in any way work-related. So if you're trying to improve your work prospects, ask if there's any chance of help with the costs, some free time at work to study (some employers have a program for these things), and perhaps some flexibility in your attendance if you need to be elsewhere for exams, etc. (Promise, you'll make the time up later, although if you work for a great company, this may not be necessary)

8. Sign up for the course.

There's a natural human tendency to question whether we're doing the right thing, whether this wouldn't all be a waste of money, to imagine that our life is going to be disrupted beyond belief if we start doing something new. It's not true.

Or we may wonder what will happen if we fail. Well, you have to be spectacularly bad to fail. Exams assume you aren't going to be 100%, and pass rates in some subjects are as low as 65%. Besides, online colleges aren't out to fail you. They want you to keep coming back for more.

9. Be prepared to have to work through periods where you feel less than motivated. No article on how to initiate a distance learning course would be complete without mentioning that after about four weeks of hard work, you'll hit the occasional slump in enthusiasm. It's important to have some mechanism to keep you going. One strategy is to itemize your goals--or dig out your list from point 1 above--then write next to each why it is vital you achieve them. Keep hat image in your head, or repeating your goals to yourself. You may not end up firing on all cylinders, but you will have reminded yourself that, as NASA would say, failure is not an option. It will be enough to keep you going

And there you have it: nine tips to get you off to a flying start in your distance-learning program. Good luck!

The Seven Demons of Internet Marketing

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, and it arrives in less than a week. I thought it would be an appropriate time to write about the demons of internet marketing. By this I mean that whenever one ventures into the online business world, trying to make their fortunes online, there are always obstacles to face along the way. Let us call these obstacles "the Demons of Internet Marketing"!

Demon #1: The Demon of Trust

Our first demon when trying to find profitable home based business opportunities online is the Demon of Trust. With so many online, money making opportunities out there, which source is the one we can safely put our hard earned dollars into? Which internet guru is going to take us by the hand and lead us to success? Which opportunities are scams and which are real and legitimate? Well it takes some time to figure these things out, but the time you take to do your research into different opportunities will be well worth it in the end. Most of us delve into this or that hot new opportunity and lose a little money along the way, but if we know the business has a good reputation, have checked it out at the Better Business Bureau, have asked questions in forums and to direct contacts, have compared opportunities, and read books on the subject, then we can probably feel safe that the Demon of Trust is not going to knock us down.

Demon #2: The Demon of Money

The second demon we run across when we are deciding on a new business opportunity, or have already chosen one, is the Demon of Money. This demon can be nasty, as internet marketing ventures can be very expensive if we're not careful. First we have to determine if we have enough money to not only start, but to sustain a business online. Then we have to create a business plan and budget for ourselves so that we can maintain our business for the long term. After all, a web business is not something you quickly whip up, leave alone, and expect to bring in the bucks. A web business takes a little, or even a lot of money to maintain over time. Ask yourselves if you have enough to do it. Find out ahead of time what costs will be involved along the way. What do you have to pay for membership fees? What programs might you be asked to join? What advertising techniques will you have to pay a pretty penny for? What methods will you use to market your business and how much will it cost? Get an Excel spreadsheet together and track your expenses. If you do these things, the Demon of Money might not burn a hole in your wallet.

Demon #3: The Demon of Time

Running an online internet marketing business is no easy task. It takes hard work, energy, and consistent effort before you can expect to see results. Even if you realize it will take time, there are often unforeseen events that happen in our lives that prevent us from moving forward with our businesses. You have to account for the unforeseen when managing your time. You have to expect to do something every day to get your business rolling, even if you can only manage one small task. Making a daily to-do list really helps in this case. Write yourself a note about what you want to accomplish and set some goals that you will work towards achieving. It's a bad idea to try and do too much all at once, as it just leads to feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and burnt out. Just like with your money, you need to manage your time in a way that suits every other thing going on in your life: Your day job, your family, your friends, your athletic pursuits, your recreational activities, your rest, and your relaxation. If you can only do a business part-time, don't try to force yourself to make it full-time. You can only do so much if you want to stay healthy. Plan your days wisely and the Demon of Time will tire you out.

Demon #4: The Demon of Advertising

Internet marketing involves a great deal of advertising if you expect people to find your business online and purchase products or services from you. We must select different forms of advertising to find out what works best for us. This, too, is no easy task, and it can be terrifyingly expensive. If we keep in mind that there are many free and effective ways to advertise and we find and use these methods, then we might survive. Article writing, blog posting, linking, and free classifieds are great ways to advertise our online businesses and don't have to cost us a cent. But of course, we are going to want to try some paid advertising methods, especially if we have the money to do so. We could select and pay for ezine solo ads, pay for an article submission service, or a ghost-writing service if we have articles written for us. We could pay for Google Adwords, or pay to get quality one-way links pointing back to our sites. We could pay for a press release or newspaper ad or flyer. The possibilities are endless. We have to find out what's right for us, and sometimes this just takes a little bit of dabbling into everything to find out what works. Then once we find out what works, we can get ahead of the Demon of Advertising by duplicating what we have done to get positive results.

Demon #5: The Demon of Traffic

Once we have our web businesses up and running, we must get visitors to our sites if we expect to make any money online. The Demon of Traffic gives us endless frustration as we try to find ways for people to find our products and services online. If you don't have a very specific and targeted niche market, then this can get crazy in a competitive internet marketing world. One of the best ways to get traffic to your site is by writing articles and placing the link to your site in the author's bio-box at the end. Article marketing is huge and your links will get spread around the net in no time, especially if you use an article distribution service that reaches thousands of publishers online. You should also try to get one-way links pointing back to your site by submitting your URL to different link directories on a regular basis. You can also get your links circulating by posting your link in different discussion forums, or making comments on other people's blogs. Your links are picked up by the search engines and will appear in the search results when someone searches for a particular keyword. You also want to offer a newsletter on your site and perhaps advertise your site by circulating and opt-in form in different traffic exchanges. Traffic exchanges are another way to get credits to show your links and build traffic to your site. The ways to generate traffic are endless if you are creative and again, find out what works best for you and duplicate your success.

Demon #6: The Demon of Downlines

If you are involved in a network marketing business, it is a real challenge to build a good downline to grow your network. You have to be willing to find prospects and communicate with them regularly if you expect anyone to join your business. You should be willing to offer your contact information, and accept phone calls to answer any questions your prospects may have. You must be willing to offer your support and assistance whenever it is needed, and you must go out of your way to make your customers feel like they are number one. You may even want to distribute business cards, flyers, brochures, or create a CD to demonstrate your product or service and give it away for your prospects to review. You may want to find network marketing distributors who are already interested in your business and have some knowledge already about it. If you are willing to communicate, support, and be there for your prospects and customers, then the Demon of Downlines can be beat.

Demon #7: The Demon of Sales

Last but not least is the Demon of Sales. Sometimes even when we are doing all the right things in our businesses, the sales just aren't coming in as we'd like them to. Once we build a list and have traffic to our sites, and we have advertised using this or that method, how do we translate our efforts into sales? How do we keep our current customers interested in our products and services and coming back to us in the future to buy more? Sometimes this is just unpredictable, but one thing you can surely do to help your business boom is to develop solid relationships with your client base. Once you have a list of subscribers to your newsletter, talk to them. Send them personal messages in addition to your business messages. Don't try to sell them something every time you write or talk to them on the phone. Show them that you care about their wants and needs, and care about making their lives happier in some way. Show them how your product or service will satisfy that need or desire. Show them that you are there and willing to help them at any time. Build rapport with them by asking them questions, and asking for their feedback. Get them involved in your business as much as possible. Once you have a good relationship, you have customers, possibly for life!

RSS Feeds

In few ways RSS is pretty much identical to HTML, the language normally put in place to create websites. As is the case with HTML, webmasters opting for traditional search engine optimization techniques when creating an RSS feed will come to know that their RSS feed is getting additional exposure and interest.

Below mentioned measures can go a long way in optimizing an RSS feed for search engines:

1.) First and foremost, the title should consist of pivotal search terms.

In simple terms, the title should be up to the mark and not misleading, while still pinpointing keywords. In an ideal scenario, the title should generate curiosity among the readers to read on, not mislead them.

2.) Secondly, it is of utmost significance that you display RSS feeds properly.

Theoretically speaking, majority of webmasters display their feeds as content on their website. Remember to use PHP, ASP or HTML when displaying a feed, as this can lead search engines to spider the contents of the feed displayed. On the other hand, if you are using a template to display feeds, it is advisable to use header tags to emphasize the appearance of the Channel Title and Item Titles. It is worth pointing that few search engines weight header tags with more significance.

3.) Get accustomed with the concept of internal & external Links.

According to experts, within a feed you should always opt for the full path of any links, keeping in perspective that other sites may syndicate the contents of the RSS feed. Furthermore, links that are not local to the site should be open in a new browser. This process though not specific to search engines but it will play a prominent role in keeping visitors on your site.

4.) Link text should pinpoints keywords.

There is no denying the fact that the text used for incoming links will give a boost to the site in terms of helping it in contextually defining the keywords that the site appears for in the search engines. Keeping that into account, it is quite mandatory to use keywords in any link text that roll back to your website.

5.) Concept of My.Yahoo and My.MSN.

This is very straightforward to implement but often overlooked by publishers and webmasters. In theory, the quickest way to have an RSS feed spidered by Yahoo or MSN is to include the feed on a personal my.yahoo or my.msn home page. You just need to register an account on the respective search engines. Then comes the next step of customizing the home page to include your RSS feed. This is normally been implemented by inserting content and listing the URL to the RSS feed. Normally, within 1-2 days the feed's contents will be spidered and indexed by Yahoo and MSN.

6.) What is theme feeds?

It is quite pivotal that feeds should be themed. This is pretty significant as it will help with themed links back to a publisher's website from anyone syndicating the feed's content.

7.) How to increase link popularity?

You can enhance link popularity by submitting the RSS feed, blog or podcast to the appropriate directories. It is worth pointing that these directories offer submissions of specific kinds of RSS feeds. Thats why, be clear in your mind to follow the guidelines of each site and choose categories wisely.

8.) What is RSS feed descriptions?

RSS feed descriptions can be termed as the general summaries or introductions to other content. Nine out of ten times, feed creators will offer additional input on an HTML site, creating curiosity among the visitors to click through for the full detail if it is a topic that is of interest to them. But for that to happen, it is pivotal that you provide number of teaser copy that the visitor can easily discern if the contents are something that is pivotal to them.

9.) Getting the feel of subscribing to feeds.

Though seem straightforward at first glance, but fact remained that a surprisingly huge chunk of publishers do not subscribe to their own feed. In an ideal scenario, this is an ideal way to get the feel of your clients and innovating with formatting and integrating HTML into feeds.

10.) Increasing your corporate identity with image ads.

It is advisable to insert your corporate logo to your RSS feed. In addition, create a brand and give the overview of that brand by including the image in the RSS feed. In simple terms, the image will increase your corporate identity as well as dress up the look of your feed by inserting your corporate logo.

11.) Alphabetical rank is essential.

Few feed readers list feeds alphabetically in the reader. Because of this reason feed channels that begin with A will normally appear in the top of the feed list in majority of feed readers. In case if you are interested in appearing in the top of list of feeds that a reader has registered to, keep this point in mind.

12.) Concept of meaningful links

It is quite mandatory that each item in your feed should consist of a unique URL attached with it. This will give direction to users to attached inputs. You can find using target URLs with the "#" symbol in the link to get accustomed with the fact that this content is very useful.

There is no denying that majority of marketers have a love-hate relationship with search engines. Search engines can make the most confident Webmaster looks insipid. But following above-mentioned steps can give you a much-needed cushion in optimizing feeds for search engines.

Search engine optimization

If you are dealing in website marketing, role of search engines is quite pivotal in your success. Theoretically speaking, they are the most crucial way to bring traffic to your website. But for that to happen, it is quite mandatory that you understand the working of search engines and their requirements.

In simple terms, there are two types of search engines: active and passive. An active engine makes full use of crawl technology that constantly searches out websites, inserts them to its database and most importantly come up with listings automatically with what it finds. On the other hand passive engines need registration of your website directly with them. In addition, they rely on editors to insert your site to their directory. Furthermore, what if youre just entering into the business and you dont have enough funds for additional advertising? If this is the case, you have no option other than to do it yourself. But dont treat it as a burden because fact of the matter is search engine optimization is quite straightforward, contrary to the belief that it is a hard grinding task. No denying that you have to practice hard before you can take full benefits of search engine results for your website or business but its at least a very possible and achievable task. But for that to happen, you must know the types of skills required for better implementation of search engine optimization.

What is your target Market?

If you are interested in search engine optimization for your website, it is quite mandatory that you are aware of your target market. As the Internet is such a big place to roam around, it is essential that you know your target market. This in turn leads to more visitors for your target market because they can easily get accustomed with your service and can give you a feedback.

All important content of your Ad

Lets just assume you know your target audience already and everything that is there in the site are in proper order and impressing the visitor to buy the product. But the fact remained that how do they get to your website initially? And thats where the role of search engine optimization is very important. By following this route, its a guarantee that your website would get more visitors.

But always remember that that its the content of your ad that will put your website on top of MSN and Google searches. As number of companies chooses to use text ads because of its shorter length and economic nature, its your responsibility to maximize the content of your ad. In an ideal scenario, make sure that youre able to depict your message in the shortest, precise and most efficient way possible.

The concept of Keywords

There is no denying that keyword is one of the major parameters affecting search engine optimization. In case if you are interested in optimizing searches done by MSN, Google or Yahoo, you have to ensure that the keyword list you are implementing under your companys name should be identical to the keywords of your target market.

When talking about keywords, only two things count: spelling and relevance. Theoretically speaking, make sure that you include keywords in their correct spellings and of course, it has to be relevant.

RSS Feeds helping to improve Search Engine Optimization and Ranking

RSS is fast becoming a buzzword for a proper search engine optimization. But the question now arises: What exactly is RSS?

RSS or Rich Site Syndication or Really Simple Syndication is a type of file format identical to XML, and is implemented by publishers to make their content available to other people. The best part about this format is that everyone can understand it quite easily. In addition, RSS offers the listing of articles on third party websites, RSS newsreaders, and the like, giving rise to simple distribution of a website's content across the Internet. In other word, RSS can be termed as a form of content syndication, using distribution lists, hyperlinks and the like to create curiosity among people, which in turn leads to increased traffic in your website.

RSS is not the new term, as a matter of fact it has been there for so many years, but with the advent of spam filters and online blogging, it is fast becoming a necessity for ezine publishers that are interested in getting their message across to their members. Despite all this, not much emphasis has been given to the benefits RSS offers for search engine optimization, until now.

The question now arises: Why Search Engines Love RSS?

Majority of SEO experts is of the view that that sites optimized around themes, or niches, where all pages depicts one particular subject or set of keywords are bound to fare better in search engines as compared to the website dealing with plenty of subjects and different keywords. For instance, if your website is specifically designed to sell gadgets, your entire site content would be focused around gadgets.

It is worth pointing that search engines such as Google seem to prefer tightly themed pages. But million-dollar question is: Where does RSS come in all this?

Remember that RSS feeds, normally sourced from newsfeeds or blogs, often pinpoint to a particular theme or niche. And thats where you can increase your sites content without a need of writing on your own, by opting for highly targeted RSS feeds. It will give you an impression that you have hired content writer that is writing for you but in actual sense you have not. Furthermore, you are getting all this free of cost.

How can RSS improve your Search Engine Rankings?

In simple terms, there are three main parameters why content from RSS Feeds is so much advantageous for search engine spiders.

1. RSS Feeds offer Immediate Themed Content

There are plenty of publishers of RSS feeds that are focused to a particular theme. As the feed is highly targeted in nature, it could consist of number of keywords that you want to rank highly for.

Inserting these keywords to your pages plays a pivotal part in Google tagging your site as one with relevant content.

2. RSS Feeds offers new and regularly updated Content

Theoretically speaking, this is the most significant feature of RSS. It is worth pointing that RSS feeds from big publishers are normally updated in hourly or daily basis. Remember that when the publisher inserts a new article to the feed, the oldest article is deleted. Furthermore, these modifications are instantly updated on your pages with the RSS feed as well. Thats why you new and updated relevant content for your visitors every hour or day. Few of the search engines like Google and Yahoo have come to a conclusion that the relevancy algorithm historically used to rank pages is not a good option. In an ideal scenario, they do no not show correct results. Because of this reason they have added parameter like freshness to judge the page rank.

A simple example can illustrate this point better. In case if you were to do a search for the key phrase "Football", you would likely to get a large chunk of articles. In that case just take two articles for the purpose of simplification. Let's assume both articles contain the phrase "Football" the same number of times, have the same number of inbound links, and all else is more or less identical between the two articles. As a matter of fact the only difference between the two is that one article was written 10 days ago and the other was written yesterday. In that scenario, it would be difficult to find out which one would be more likely to contain the information for which you are looking?

Well, by taking the help of relevancy algorithm, both articles will appear equally relevant. Though, fact remained that it is not the case because obviously the newer article is more likely to give you the fresh information, which you are looking for. Due to this reason the search engines have come up with a freshness component to their ranking repertoire- in an effort to offer the best results to their users, they should not only offer you relevant articles but fresh one as well. Thats why, at the moment, the most recent article (or most frequently updated website) would be listed on top as compared to the less frequently updated website.

The question now arises: Does this make sense? The answer is yes. By following this route, you can easily understand why a proper search engine optimization will include the use of fresh content such as an RSS feed, apart from an optimization for key phrase relevancy.

Top 10 Home Software Programs in 2006

Word processing and spreadsheets were the first of the killer apps for home computers when PCs first started to propagate to the millions of households out there. For each of these products there are additional information in the following articles. Take a look at these home software products!

Below are some things to watch for in 2006, some of them are good and, unfortunately, some arent.

First the good news:

- We are getting a lot more serious about our security. This has a lot of reasons behind it. For example, new privacy laws are mandating organizations to tighten their security. Look to see more consumer privacy laws passed in the coming year and more tightening of security systems.

- Authentication requirements are increasing. This is closing in large security holes. Corporations are requiring a great deal more of authentication to get into secure systems (this also is on the bad news side)

- There is a plethora of sophisticated programs to help us be more secure and they will continue to get better. Competition right now is strong in the security industry sparking a lot of innovation.

- ISPs are now taking on the responsibility to help us with our security. Take AOL's recent commercials as a good sign that others will follow the trend.

Now the bad news:

- Securing our networks is costing us. Most companies are globalizing their organizations and making them secure costs a lot of money. It will get worse before it gets better.

- Authentication requirements are increasing. This is getting claustrophobic. Corporations are requiring a great deal more authentication to get into secure systems (This is also on the good news side) Unfortunately, for the end user, it is one more thing to be unhappy about, not unlike airport security lines.

- Hackers are getting more sophisticated. For example, Botnets are becoming more complex and harder and harder to catch and stop. Do a search on botnets on the Internet. They really are causing a whole lot of problems, but it does not stop there. The number of viruses and malware out there is staggering.

- Spammers keep finding more creative ways to fill our email boxes. Don't look for this trend to stop anytime soon.

So now you know a little bit about Home Software Programs. Even if you don't know everything, you've done something worthwhile: you've expanded your knowledge.

Space Sunshade May One Day Reduce Global Warming

Global warming is a reality and increasingly its consequences are upon us. We may think that global warming does not affect us but the fact is it has already started to have disastrous consequences. Flash floods, droughts, receding icebergs, cyclones are some of the manifestations of global warming. Although we are aware and worried about it and trying our best to control it but no significant impact could be seen.

Scientists have come up with new strategies to tackle the problem. Now a scientist has suggested an ambitious idea to contain global warming. Put sunshades in space. Thats right. University of Arizona astronomer Roger Angel suggests putting sunshades in space and has detailed his idea in a paper Feasibility of cooling the Earth with a cloud of small spacecraft near L1 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He suggests launching a constellation of trillions of small free-flying spacecraft a million miles above Earth into an orbit aligned with the sun, called the L-1 orbit.

This spacecraft would form a long, cylindrical cloud and would have a diameter about half that of Earth, and about 10 times longer. It is suggested that about 10 percent of the sunlight passing through the 60,000-mile length of the cloud, pointing lengthwise between the Earth and the sun, would be diverted away from our planet. This would result in uniformly reduced sunlight by about 2 percent over the entire planet and would balance the heating of carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere.

The use of space shade was first mooted by James Early of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 1989.

"The earlier ideas were for bigger, heavier structures that would have needed manufacture and launch from the moon, which is pretty futuristic," Angel said. "I wanted to make the sunshade from small 'flyers,' small, light and extremely thin spacecraft that could be completely assembled and launched from Earth, in stacks of a million at a time. When they reached L1, they would be dealt off the stack into a cloud. There's nothing to assemble in space."

Angel proposes to design lightweight flyers made of transparent film pierced with small holes and would be two feet in diameter, 1/5000 of an inch thick and weigh about a gram, the same as a large butterfly. He suggests using MEMS technology mirrors as tiny sails that tilt to hold the flyers position in the orbiting constellation.

The weight of all flyers would be 20 millions tons. But conventional rocket launch system at $10,000 a pound would be too prohibitive. His alternative would cost only around $20 a pound.

He suggests deploying a total 20 electromagnetic launchers launching a stack of flyers every 5 minutes for 10 years. The electromagnetic launchers would use hydroelectric power but even if it uses coal-generated electricity, each ton of carbon used would reduce the effect of 1000 tons of atmospheric carbon.

Once propelled beyond Earths atmosphere the flyer stacks would be steered to L-1 orbit by solar-powered ion propulsion, pioneered by European Space Agency's SMART-1 moon orbiter and NASA's Deep Space 1 probe.

"The concept builds on existing technologies," Angel said. "It seems feasible that it could be developed and deployed in about 25 years at a cost of a few trillion dollars. With care, the solar shade should last about 50 years. So the average cost is about $100 billion a year, or about two-tenths of one percent of the global domestic product."

He added, "The sunshade is no substitute for developing renewable energy, the only permanent solution. A similar massive level of technological innovation and financial investment could ensure that.

"But if the planet gets into an abrupt climate crisis that can only be fixed by cooling, it would be good to be ready with some shading solutions that have been worked out."

Key Accessories Can Increase The Nintendo WII Price

The Nintendo Wii is the hottest gaming system on the market. Even now many retailers are sold out and awaiting new shipments of this revolutionary game system with its remote sensing control system. The Nintendo Wii is a hot commodity, and like any commodity the laws of supply and demand are in play, and high demand can often equate to high prices. If you are one of the millions of people considering a purchase of the Wii System then you are probably among those for whom the Nintendo Wii price is a consideration.

Fortunately, the Nintendo Wii price is at a point that is affordable for most people, and for approximately $249.99 USD you can jump right in almost literally and begin playing the game that everyone is talking about. However, the $250 dollar price point only gets you the basic Wii package, which includes one game Wii Sports one controller, the sensor bar, and the assorted power cords needed to plug in and play. While this assortment is more than capable of getting you up and running, the $250 Nintendo Wii price does not include many items you are sure to want as soon as you tire of playing Wii Sports against the computer.

One way to avoid endless shopping for additional games and accessories is to purchase a Nintendo Wii bundle from a retailer who offers such deals. Various retailers offer bundles all inclusive package deals that include the Wii system as well as additional memory, additional controller, and several additional game titles. While such packages can greatly increase the Nintendo Wii price by $200 to $400 dollars depending on the number of games and their titles it can give you all you need, and more, to get started gaming.

The Nintendo Wii price, without accessories, is roughly $250. But it is the accessories that make the Wii such a powerful and dynamic system, and the Nintendo Wii price does not include those additional items. While new game titles will cost roughly $50 each, it is not the new games that will take your Wii to new heights; it is the add-ons. A second controller and Nunchuk - secondary controller that plugs into the primary, wireless controller; the Wiimote will cost approximately $60. For those who wish to offset the Nintendo Wii price by continuing to play games from their Nintendo GameCube, they may need to purchase a GameCube controller if they do not already have one ($25). Further, if you want to save your ongoing GameCube games like you could do on the original GameCube then a memory card is needed ($25). For roughly the same prices as the memory card, an SD card 1 GB of additional memory can be purchased allowing you to download classic games through an Internet connection.

Like other accessories, Internet connectivity is not included in the Nintendo Wii price, and a wireless Wi-Fi USB connector is required ($100 and up). And if you want to see the fruit of your investments in the quality of High Definition, then a component video adapter is needed to deliver that crystal clear picture ($20).

After reading a list such as this one it is easy to wonder what you really get for that $250 Nintendo Wii price. The truth is that you get a lot, but if you want more and you want to maximize the capabilities of the system then investing in accessories that cost above and beyond the Nintendo Wii price will deliver exactly that. Fortunately, you dont have to buy them all at once.

VoIP Security

VoIP security has been called in question recently, though there is little evidence to indicate that VoIP security is any less than conventional telephony systems.

VoIP voice data is transmitted via a packet-switched data network using IP. VoIP systems can carry a significant higher number of calls, and very much faster, than traditional PSTN networks due to compression of the voice packets, modern broadband technology and a number of other gateway developments which have reduced the previous packet delivery problems to an extent that the protocol is now a viable mainstream telephony solution to most business needs.

VoIP security should therefore be shown to be at least as effective as that of traditional telephone systems.

There is actually very little difference between VoIP security and that required for any other type of data transmission system. Look on it the same as you do your email system. The same as your office LAN if you have one. You probably have a system in operation whereby only authorized personnel can use certain aspects of the network. VoIP security can, and do, use the same techniques.

However, having said that, lets have a look at potential weak points in VoIP security that budding hackers may see as good points of attack.

IP PBX CALL MANAGEMENT BOXES

PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange, and is piece of software running on a server. Its function is to deal with all the switches and connections involved in the telephone system. These can be attacked by hackers or viruses which could compromise sensitive data. VoIP security systems are designed with this risk in mind.

PBX equipment should be placed behind firewalls, locked down and regularly monitored for unwarranted intrusions using intrusion-detection software. It is also possible to put the server in a different domain from the rest of the system, making it much more difficult for intruders to reach. PBX security is a basic aspect of VoIP security systems

GATEWAYS AND DATA PACKETS

The gateways job is to convert voice to data packets, transmit them then receive and convert the packets back into voice. These are a potential VoIP security risk in that thy can be hacked into unless there is an access-control system in place to prevent unauthorized people from accessing the system. VoIP calls should only be permitted to specific people, and most good VoIP security systems allow only authorized user to operate VoIP systems under password control.

The data packets themselves can be hacked into using data-sniffing techniques. This can be a serious VoIP security risk and packet sniffers, as they are often called, capture binary data passing through your network and can reroute it to a computer on another network for decoding into a readable form. In order to do this, the sniffers has to be on the same network wire as the packet is using to reach its destination. The problem in installing an effective VoIP security system is that there is usually a lot of information passing at any one time, and the hacker has a higher probability of getting useful information than from a conventional telephone system.

Encrypting VoIP traffic and routing it through a virtual private network would reduce the VoIP security risk, and most corporate systems have multiple encryption layers for external messages. Internal security could be improved by running internal VoIP messages through this corporate network. Small businesses should seek the advice of their supplier, or of a security expert if they feel that they may be subject to such attacks.

However, VoIP security advisors can point small to medium companies in the right direction. Corporate VoIP security is generally not so much problem in that it is normally contracted out to expert advisers.

In the final analysis, however, there are no real differences between VoIP security and the normal security concerns associated with any data network service, such as normal office internet and email LANs. The security firewalls and restricted access to use, common on these systems, should suffice to deal with VoIP security

Peter Nisbet is an industrial research chemist with almost a fixation with data transfer systems, starting with audio and video file formats and codecs, and here with telephonic transmission systems which allow what is commonly known as VoIP. Holiday Travel With Family Fun

Family holidays can be fun and exciting for all ages. Here are some pointers for finding the best holiday for your family.

First you need to determine the common interests of the family. Ask your children what they would like to see and what theyre studying in school. If you have very young children then usually you will know better than them but try to get them involved. Think of you and your spouse as well; what may be great fun for the kids may be boring and annoying for the adults. Pick somewhere that all of you will enjoy or a destination that gives you the opportunity for quiet time. While kids tend to be unrealistic, you can usually accommodate their interest. For example, if they want to take an African safari you could visit the immense animal park in San Diego, California.

Theme parks are fun for the kids and offer entertainment for adults as well. Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida includes the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Universal Studios and MGM Studios. There are luxury hotels located right inside the park and a monorail takes visitors to different parts of the park so theres no need to drive. The park is not the only attraction; there are other nearby attractions including the Kennedy Space Center, Coco Beach and Sea World.

A trip through the historic east coast is another fun holiday that the kids and adults are sure to enjoy. The east coast has beautiful mountains and beaches and contains most of the United States history. Attractions are close to each other compared to the rest of the U.S. so a road trip is the best way to travel with the family to this part of the country. Historic sights include George Washingtons home in Virginia and the Arlington Cemetery. The Smithsonian Museums in Washington, D.C. are free and there is something to interest everyone. There is the Space and Aeronautics Museum that children really enjoy with life size replicas and actual aircraft showing the history of flight. Washington also contains the U.S. political buildings such as the White House and the Pentagon.

Southern California offers many sights and is especially warm and pleasant in the late fall and early spring when most of the country is cold. Los Angeles is the film industry capitol of the world. You can visit Universal Studios theme park and Disneyland. You may even be able to catch the taping of a television show. San Diego which is just about two hours south of Los Angeles is a beautiful mid size city and has many tourist options. The San Diego Zoo is world renowned and Sea World is a must see for wildlife enthusiast. If you have young children then be sure to visit Legoland which has rides and even replicas of famous sights made entirely out of Legos.

Family holidays can be fun for the entire family. Its important to find a holiday that will interest the kids as well as the adults.

Back To School Bliss In 21 Days

Gearing up for back-to-school can be a bit overwhelming; there is a lot to do, a lot of transitions to navigate, and often a sense of blues as the realization that summer has, once again, gone by too fast. However, you can easily turn back-to-school anxieties into positive anticipation for a great school year with the following action plan. Plug these steps into your calendar right now and see what a different they can make!

One Week before School: Week of Preparation

Day 1 (seven days before school): Ease into a school bed-time schedule. Slowly transitioning into a school sleep schedule ensures proper rest and encourages a positive attitude towards going back to school.

Day 3: Create a place for everything, so everything will be in its place. Designate one basket for each child to store his shoes, bookbags, and jackets. Give each child a container filled with standard homework supplies that can be transported from, for example, the kitchen to the computer room. Finally, establish a place for each child to store extra papers from school -a section of your file cabinet or a designated box under his bed.

Day 4: Purchase supplies. Keep the supplies minimal and simple. Fancy folders and notebooks are bulky and hard for students to use. The best system to use is a one-inch binder with a plastic folder for each class, keeping all folders in one place.

Day 6: Set goals with your children. Help your children look forward to the new school year by having each person (including you) share at least two goals for the new school year: one academic goal and one fun goal.

First Week of School: Week of Routines

Day 7 (night before school): Have a Sunday Night Meeting every week! Each member of the family should grab their planners/calendars for a 10-15 minute meeting. Ask your children what they have scheduled for the week (such as sports practices), share your plans for the week (children like to know what to expect, so tell them if you will have a late night at the office or will have to attend a meeting at school), arrange rides home from after-school activities, etc. Your week will be much less chaotic because everyone will be on the same page!

Day 8: Establish a routine for papers that need your attention. Purchase magnetic clips for each child and post them on the refrigerator. Have your children clip papers here that you need to fill out, sign, etc. (Expect to spend four hours filling out back-to-school papers this week.)

Day 10: Get ready for school at night, before you go to bed. Avoid chaotic mornings and forgotten school supplies by having everyone pack up their homework, bookbags, lunch/lunch money, etc. before they go to bed. They should also set out their clothes, shoes, and jacket at night, too. (Get the FREE Night Before School Tool at http://www.soarstudyskills.com/morefreestuff.htm.)

Day 11: Is everyone using their school planners? All students need to use a homework planner! Check planners every night until they are part of everyones routine.

Day 12: Clean out bookbags once a week. Cluttered book-bags are the root cause of lost assignments and must be cleaned out regularly. (The Sunday Night Meeting is another good time to do this.)

Second Week of School: Week of Cooperation

Day 14: Hold your second Sunday Night Meeting of the school year.

Day 15: Give each child a choice about something today. The more you can give your children choices, the more cooperation you will get from them, especially when doing homework. Some choices may include giving two options for dinner or two different times to do their homework. When you give choices and honor their choices- your children feel empowered and will be much more cooperative.

Day 18: Catch your children being good today! Improve cooperation by giving compliments to your children. Keep them specific and succinct (most children are embarrassed by mushy-gushy compliments). For example, Thank you, Kristen, for coming home and starting your homework right away. I appreciate that. Positive praise works wonders!

Day 21: Give yourself a break! Congratulations, you have survived the first two weeks of school and you are well on your way to a happy, productive school year. Celebrate by scheduling some time for yourself. You deserve it!
